Foundations of Mindfulness Meditation Course (Online – Zoom)
October 26, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT
Free
This five-week course (10/26, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23) will provide practical support for developing a daily meditation practice that’s appropriate for you; cultivating basic mindfulness skills; and applying those skills to meeting life’s challenges, to respond wisely instead of reactively. You’ll learn strategies to awaken to mindfulness and compassion when you’re in the thick of difficulty and dramatically shift the experience of your life, the people in it, and the world itself. The course is suitable for beginners as well as those who have an established meditation practice.
Each class will include instruction, a guided practice exercise, Q&A, and follow-up resources for practicing between classes. Please be aware that the classes are not stand-alone sessions. Each weekly class builds on the content covered previously.
This program is offered through Zoom videoconferencing. Please register through the Saratoga Springs Public Library by going to the link shown. In advance of the first class, you will receive an email containing an invitation and link to join the Zoom meeting. You may prepare in advance to participate by tablet, smart phone or computer by downloading the Zoom app. Please see the Zoom instructions for joining a meeting if you have any questions.
