Mindfulness Meditation: Mindfulness of Technology (Zoom)
October 9, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT
Free
Mindfulness meditation promotes well-being from the inside-out. Research has shown that mindfulness benefits those struggling with depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, distractibility, high sensitivity, and difficult life transitions. During this time of deep suffering and uncertainty, many are turning to mindfulness practices as a refuge in the storm.
This five-week course (October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30) will provide practical support for developing a daily meditation practice that’s appropriate for you and accessible even in tumultuous times. Special topics will include:
- Mindful Practices for Calming and Soothing
- Mindfulness of Technology
- Decluttering the Mind
- Cultivating Lovingkindness towards Difficult People
- Mindful Self-Compassion.
Your understanding of the foundations of mindfulness, the fruits of your practice, and sense of community will build throughout the course, so you are encouraged to sign up for the entire course instead of just a single class.
Each class will include instruction, a guided practice exercise, Q&A/discussion, and recommendations for practice between sessions.
Registration opens September 11 at 9:00am. This program is offered through Zoom videoconferencing. In advance of the first class, you will receive an email containing an invitation and link to join the Zoom meeting.
