Mindfulness Meditation Monday Lunchtime Series (Online – Zoom)
October 2 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDTFree
Mindfulness meditation is a refuge that provides grounding, clarity, and calm that are so vital for navigating these extraordinary times. Awakening from trance into presence, again and again, moment by moment is perhaps the most important work we can do for ourselves, our families, our communities, and our planet. The present moment is where our true power lies. Presence creates a sacred pause or space that provides access to the wisest, most loving awareness available to us.
This series meets Mondays online at noon during the months of September and October (September 11, 18, 25 and October 2, 16, 23, 30). There will be no meditation practice on September 4 and October 9. The sessions provide practical instruction and inspiration for your meditation practice, as well as connection with a supportive and welcoming community of meditators. Please register online.
Each session will address a different topic relevant to mindfulness meditation. You will receive support for cultivating mindfulness skills both “on and off the cushion” and applying those skills to meeting life’s challenges, to respond wisely instead of reactively. You’ll learn strategies to awaken to mindfulness and compassion when you’re in the thick of difficulty and to dramatically shift the experience of your life, the people in it, and the world itself.
Each class will include instruction, guided practice, Q&A/discussion, and follow-up resources.
Visibility and participation are always your choice. There is no pressure to be seen or to say anything. You are always free to be in your own practice. The invitation is simply to show up with curiosity and intention and awaken together.
Susan Meyer has been practicing mindfulness meditation for 30 years, has received mindfulness meditation teacher certification from Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, and is a student in the Plum Village tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh.
