Mindfulness Meditation (Online Series – Zoom)
May 17, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT
Free
Mindfulness meditation is a refuge that provides grounding, clarity, and calm that are so vital for navigating these challenging times. This four-week series (Mondays: May 3, 10, 17, 24) will provide practical instruction and inspiration for your meditation practice, as well as connection with a supportive and welcoming community of meditators. Each session will address a different topic relevant to mindfulness meditation. You will receive support for cultivating mindfulness skills both “on and off the cushion” and applying those skills to meeting life’s challenges, to respond wisely instead of reactively. You’ll learn strategies to awaken to mindfulness and compassion when you’re in the thick of difficulty and dramatically shift the experience of your life, the people in it, and the world itself.
Each class will include instruction, a guided practice exercise, Q&A/discussion, and follow-up resources.
This program is offered through Zoom videoconferencing. Please register through the Saratoga Springs Public Library by going to the link shown. In advance of the first class, you will receive an email containing an invitation and link to join the Zoom meeting. You may prepare in advance to participate by tablet, smart phone or computer by downloading the Zoom app. Please see the Zoom instructions for joining a meeting if you have any questions.
