Mindfulness Meditation (Online Series – Zoom)

Mindfulness meditation is a refuge that provides grounding, clarity, and calm that are so vital for navigating these challenging times. This five-week series (Mondays: Feb 22 and Mar 1, 8, 15, and 22) will provide practical instruction and inspiration for your meditation practice, as well as connection with a supportive and welcoming community of meditators. Each session will address a different topic relevant to mindfulness meditation. You will receive support for cultivating mindfulness skills both “on and off the cushion” and applying those skills to meeting life’s challenges, to respond wisely instead of reactively. You’ll learn strategies to awaken to mindfulness and compassion when you’re in the thick of difficulty and dramatically shift the experience of your life, the people in it, and the world itself.
Each class will include instruction, a guided practice exercise, Q&A/discussion, and follow-up resources.
This program is offered through Zoom videoconferencing. Please register through the Saratoga Springs Public Library by going to the link shown. In advance of the first class, you will receive an email containing an invitation and link to join the Zoom meeting. Susan Meyer has been practicing mindfulness meditation for more than 25 years. She completed the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield and is a meditation teacher on the Insight Timer app. Her meditation practice has been her rock and refuge during the wild ride of the COVID pandemic, and she is passionate about guiding others to experience the benefits of mindfulness meditation.
