Mindfulness Meditation Spring Series (Online – Zoom)
April 21 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT
Free
Mindfulness meditation is a refuge that provides grounding, clarity, and calm that are so vital for navigating these extraordinary times. Awakening from trance into presence, again and again, moment by moment is perhaps the most important work we can do for ourselves, our families, our communities, and our planet. The present moment is where our true power lies. Presence creates a sacred pause or space that provides access to the wisest, most loving awareness available to us.
This series meets Fridays at noon from March 24 – April 28. It provides practical instruction and inspiration for your meditation practice, as well as connection with a supportive and welcoming community of meditators. The program is offered through Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library. Please register online.
Each session will address a different, timely topic relevant to mindfulness meditation. You will receive support for cultivating mindfulness skills both “on and off the cushion” and applying those skills to meeting life’s challenges, to respond wisely instead of reactively. You’ll learn strategies to awaken to mindfulness and compassion when you’re in the thick of difficulty and to dramatically shift the experience of your life, the people in it, and the world itself.
Each class will include instruction, guided practice, and Q&A/discussion.
Visibility and participation are always your choice. There is no pressure to be seen or to say anything. You are always free to be in your own practice. The invitation is simply to show up with curiosity and intention and awaken together.
