Alice McDowell, Ph.D. will discuss the stages of the spiritual journey and how it applies to your life as described in her most recent book, “Dance of Light: Christian, Sufi and Zen Wisdom for Today’s Spiritual Seeker.” She will especially focus on the Dark Wood stage of not knowing and bewilderment—a place which many find themselves today. Q & A to follow. Copies may be purchased at the event, and Alice will be available for book signing afterwards.

 

This event is free and open to the public; it will be held in a large tent outside the church, weather permitting.

 

About the Author: Alice McDowell, Ph.D., is an author, spiritual director, workshop leader, retreat guide, and founder of the Hidden Treasure Program—a three-year training in personal growth. She co-founded Light on the Hill Retreat Center in 1991 where she continues to guide people on their spiritual journeys. McDowell has a doctorate in theology from Fordham University and has trained with Sufi and Buddhist teachers, Christian contemplatives and transpersonal psychologists.
