Description

This work was created for an art exhibit. It measures 10″x10″ and is ready to hang, with two eye hooks and wire on the back. The base (which isn’t visible in the picture) consists of a thick piece of solid wood painted forest green. On the base, I mounted my photograph of a waterfall at Christman Sanctuary in Duanesburg, NY, which I covered with a protective, durable layer of resin. Then I constructed a birchbark frame around the photo and embellished it with twigs. Creating this piece was a joyful and satisfying process from start to finish!

The framed image shown in the feature photo contains some blue-green reflection that is not present in the actual photo. I have included a picture of the actual image so you can see what it looks like without the reflection.
